¡Ya basta! (Enough is Enough)

Maybe I'm the only one who cares......
Maybe I am the only one who this burns a whole in and makes skin crawl...
Maybe I'm the only one who this offends..........
Maybe I am the only one who sees flaw with the whole issue.....

America is Anti-Muslim
Yes that's right the home of Free speech and Democracy, is the Home of the NEO-Nigger term "Muslim" and no one seems to Care

our country is spouse to be that of a country that no matter your Race,Creed,Gender, or political affiliation can live safety and freely.
Presidential candidate Barack Obama has stated time and time again that he is a Christian and not of the Muslim faith. But it is almost as if he has to denounce the Muslim faith for the country to accept him! I am disappointed that a man of his hierarchy has not said something about the whole issue. though he is not why wouldn't Barack Obama be allowed to be a Muslim in the "Great Melting Pot of America"?

why would it be so Anti-American for a man of the Muslim faith to be the president of this country some day?

Why is it that we can have people of the Muslim faith defending our "Great Country" but not representing it?
it makes me sad that NO one of any type of status, whom always are the prominent speakers on all the other Issues of rights (Ellen Degeneres, Cornell West,Bono, even rappers) have nothing to say about it.

Sometimes I truly Wonder if the Man I want to lead my Country is going to be too scared to do his Job and stand up for his beliefs, principles, and Civil rights at the same time! Some times I just wonder if what those hecklers were saying is gonna end up being true? Will the Disenfranchised Youth in our Urban Cities be once again pushed into the "invisible man" category!
This video begs the question would it still be such a big issue if McCain made this mistake?

There are some Really Dope Music Vids out Right now!

Green Light wouldn't let me post! but its still goes high on the list
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTDq4Ek2tWk

Man its almost as if Artist said it is time to step your creative video artistry up! and these videos to me have set a pretty high bar to the competition on what a good video should be now! everyone in its own style all embody creativity and pure hotness

Sorry I know its been a Minute "Respect for Art"

If a person should travel to there local gas station one will find that there is magazines and in these magazines it often times seems like there main focus is on many art forms of the current day, with music or movies most of the time being number one on the list. Something as mainstream as Hip-Hop, that is such a huge part of the today’s media, fails to get the recognition as an art form that it deserves. The influence is so great that from the Clothing lines all the way down to cellular devices you can see some of Hip-hops most treasured Icons. This would lead one to think that there would be some type of museum put in place for a modern day Beethoven or Mozart. The art form of Rock & Roll has its own huge hall of fame located in Cleveland, Ohio. This museum is a beautiful piece of artwork in itself because of the way it was constructed. It has incorporated art forms such as Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop into its museum. At which most times these arts were specifically going against the mainstream Rock & Roll. It has been a huge question to many people how artist of a genre that is (huge in itself and has huge influences) could ever want to be a small entity in a music form that it is not, and has never tried to be.
I believe that each art form deserves its own respective museum. You would not go to a photo gallery to listen to music so I don’t think you should see Hip-Hop in a Rock & Roll Museum. And that goes for its forefathers of Jazz and R&B as well

Yeah its about YOU!

I'm Hydrogen dangerous when combined with anything else
except the 2 of us
You being my Oxygen
Together we create libation
which provides for nations
I would never want to hurt you
you are my air!
so to think
or say I don't care would just be unfair
but I would be out of my element
to not periodically be at different tables
because your source is oxygen very plentiful on this earth
but without me, We will soon run dry
and despite your abundance somehow you are the only one of your kind
and how am I supposed to breathe with no air?

Flavor Flav is a SELL OUT!

What happened to the man in the left hand corner of this picture?

This Brother use to echo chants and get hype to the issues that were surrounding our community now

Look at this man he is a JOKE

To me it is sad that he has so many kids and now had financial problems for a while
But is this the way to get out of debt?
to sell yourself as a clown and have people laugh at you?
Have you no pride in yourself as a man?

1. The Surreal Life
2. Strange Love
3. Flavor Of Love
4. Under One Roof

Flav mad a fool out of himself on The Surreal Life, but he got the exposure that he had been missing and made some money again but if he would have stuffed with the surreal life I would have still had some respect for him
Strange love I still respected him
Flavor Of Love My respect was pretty much gone, you take a bunch of money/camera hungary Smuts and put them on T.V. and you glorify them acting like damn fools it mad me sad but the "straw that broke the camels back" was
Under One Roof!!!!
If you have ever watched 1 episode of under one roof you would think it was a joke! you would think that it was a spoof of some shows that come on T.V.
I kept waiting for something funny to happen or just something to let me know that this MINSTREL SHOW was not serious

Flav You are a Sell out and It is sad considering what you came from and what you use to stand for.

Chuck D: "Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant ---- to me you see
Straight up racist that sucker was
Simple and plain
Flav: "Mother-Fuck him and John Wayne"
now I say put yourself in there Flav

You can be mentioned with them or in the other category with the great Uncle Clarence Thomas

SELL OUT!!!!!

Sweet Tooth

as I stroll
everywhere I go I see a different flavor
it is so hard for me to decide
my indecisiveness has lead me to decide that I have a problem
as I stroll it seems like the flavor is gold it makes me feel rich inside
but I still can't decide my feelings just always collide with the fact that if I settle down
butter pecan and coffee brown might have been the one i should have choose for the settle down
Vanilla has never been for this fella
but caramel gives off such a delicious smell
I can't figure out why in the hell I have this problem
I taste a sample of this and get a scoop of that
BUT i just can't make up my mind
I always put them back
its almost like I am wasting these flavors time
Chocolate is always on my mind
So i spend a dime for a second of this flavors time
but the shelf it soon sees cause brownie and cookie dough taste even better in the snow.
But once it gets warm outside all the flavors come out and just can't hide because there is people outside
So until I can decide
i will be outside of the commitment window tasting each flavor as it comes and goes trying not to let them melt on me
I guess one day I will settle on a flavor but for now
u ALL took a scoop of my heart

Bachelors Poison Ivy

So I was looking at one of my homies blogs and got a great Idea for a new post!
There are certain things that go into every man's own personal laws of attraction.
If a female posses all these qualities it would be impossible for me to stay at bachelors status!

1. Beauty
- "Cause lets be honest you don't see a personality first"
- From Peach to Plum any woman that has been "kissed by the sun"
- I LOVE Long Hair but I love it when a Female keeps her short hair looking "tight"
- Natural Hair!!! I don't like Weave,Extensions, or WIGS (exp. WIGS)
- CONFIDENCE either gives you a + or lack there of takes away significantly
- EYES do something to me
2. Intelligence
- I need a Female in my Life who will challenge Me Mentally
- We can hold a conversation about things that matter(Black PPL/Politics/The world)
- Focused on Success( her version of it)
- has Goals/ambitions/Dreams that she is working hard to obtain
- I HATE DITSY/DINGY acting females its not cute to me!!!!
3. Style
- "Dress Game" has to be on point, you have to look fly and love fashion
- Shoes are the second thing I look at if you look good but have on DaDa's "come on"
- Your own Style an Confidence in it!
- "Girly Girl" keeps her stuff tight (Hair,Nails,Toes, hygiene,Etc.) just primed tight.
4. Personality
- has to have "great Sense of humor"
- easy to get along with
- Cool
- Sweet
- "Touchy Feely/Sensual" cause I am that (not all the time but often)Muy Importante
- STRONG has to be able to stand up for herself (all the ladies in my life are)
- Self Respect
5. a Certain edge of Spontaneousness
- So if I say "Babe, Lets try something new today" she'll be down
6. "Down for her man"
7. Eclectic, has to like HIP-HOP

And that is all I can think of now, I might update or add in the future.I honestly don't think it is that hard to find someone who obtains most if not all of these qualities. I have to have standards if I don't I will never find someone whom I will fell I am comfortable or compatible with.

"While I walk this trail sooner rather than later the poison Ivy will rub against me and I won't be able to fight it, it will get in my system and infect me with lust. After spending time with the Ivy in my system eventually it will consume me and lay my single title to rest"

Black Love is Beautiful!

I'm in Love With Black Love

OK I know I'm a week or two late with this post but I just had to say something quick about how much I love this picture! it just genuinely seems to me that they are a team and in love!

OK so it may seem like kind of a soft post, but I'm strong enough to do it.
Honestly I see nothing wrong with me romancing the thought of True Love! Though I may not be in it and I don't seem like I will be anytime soon. I am a hopeless romantic who thinks about Love sometimes and romances the thought of being romantic with the love of my life Whomever she may be in the future!!!

Soulja Boy+HipHop= DEATH to HIP-HOP

Recently on a mixtape LEGENDARY rapper Ice-T had this to say

In June 2008, Ice-T criticized Soulja Boy for "killing hip-hop" on DJ Cisco’s Urban Legend mixtape. In the mixtape, Ice-T said, “Fuck Soulja Boy". Eat a dick. This nigga single handedly killed Hip Hop.” He then criticized "Crank That", saying, "That shit is such garbage man. We came all the way from Rakim, we came all the way from Das EFX, we came all the way from motherfuckers flowing like Big Daddy Kane and Ice Cube, and you come with that Superman shit? That shit is garbage.” Ice-T also goes after Hurricane Chris (rapper), saying, “Hurricane take them fucking beads out of your hair nigga. Man up. You niggas is making me feel real fucking mad about this shit.

I found this truly hilarious and wondered why it took so long for someone prominent to the game to say this shit!!!(excuse my language) But I had been saying this for so long my peers agreed but it just seemed like no one in the Game (past or present) was addressing it until The LEGEND Ice-T.

Soulja Boy's Response

So after watching this Soulja Boy Got less respect from me because I just feel like he should not have said anything. His groupies made him look whack and him Disrespecting a legend and not just keeping his mouth shut didn't surprise me "kids these Days" his response was not funny and sounded like a Cry for help! (maybe he knows he can't rap?)

But on the other hand he did make a couple good points
*I respect Soulja boy's entrepreneurship mindset and the fact that he made it
* Ice T really didn't have to tell the little kid to "Eat a Dick"
* and maybe he was sort of right when he said Ice T could have reached out to him and helped his skills

But then I started to realize little kids like that very seldom take well to advice they must mature first, just listened to how he responded(CHILD)....... Then Ice T responded with this Video

This was the perfect response and I Felt that this in fact is what Ice-T should have put out in the first place!
Much respect to this Video!
*Especially at the end when his says "I'm 16 EAT A DICK soulja Boy"

he is a fad that survived off of Kid's and White people
Soulja Boy is POP and A blatant disrespect to the art form of HIP-HOP, if u want to make dance music do so and name it such! but when u take Rhythm and Poetry and change it to make it whack! you are in Fact trying to Kill HIP HOP (which I think will never Die because of other strong Artist) but I wish u would Resign from making music or study the game and start producing something that sounds respectable!!!!
so now I just can not wait for this mans 15 minutes to fade out!
I hope he saved some money!!

Power Shift!

Hottest Rapper in the Game is

Lil Wayne

REASONS WHY
*Fact Lil Wayne has held the Most anticipated album title for two years str8 in anticipation for the Carter 3
*Fact Lil Wayne has tied the record with T-pain for most songs in the top 100 at 1 time with 7
*Fact The Hip Hop industry has seen a 21% decrease in record sales in 2007
*Fact Lil Wayne sold 413,000 units after day one of the release of the Carter 3
*Fact According to Billboard, Tha Carter III is the first album since 50 Cent’s The Massacre in March 2005 to break a million copies sold. Kanye West’s Graduation came the closest, selling 957,000 units its first week in September 2007.
* Fact making the Carter III Platinum after just one week
* Fact Lil Wayne had 77 tracks in 2007 with out a repeat Verse (More than any rapper in one year to date)
*Opinion Lil Wayne is the Hottest Rapper out as out with all those facts to back it

One can tell that Lil Wayne is a student of the game, He is reminiscent of Rakim "the Great". Rakim Fathered a style!!! His delivery, His flow, the way that he rode the beat and made people feel every thump,Rhyme,Metaphor, simile, was unprecedented! a New Style and Voice just made for a smooth ride on any track!

Lil Wayne's Flow,Delivery ,Punchlines, and the way he rides a beat are that of most of the greats in the history in hip-hop. It just makes for an easy listen and catch phrases that last for years!

Lil Wayne brought about a change in the game as well
With the birth of the Carter II BAPE was the hoodies of choice and MOB was a slogan posted on even white boy's Facebook/Myspace pages. The Age of rockstar style has also been fostered by Lil Wayne

two the people that say that Lil Wayne says nothing in his rhythms or cannot stay on one Topic you must not have listened to the following tracks "just to name a few"

* Earthquake-Carter I
* Hustler Musik-Carter II
* Georgia... Bush-Dedication II
* The Sky is the Limit- Da Drought 3 disk 1
* Crazy-Da Drought 3 disk 2
* 1st Key-Like Father,Like Son
*MY PERSONAL FAVORITE I Like Dat- Lil Weezyana

But there is just to many for me to name!!!

Comparisons LIL Wayne is a mixture

Tupac- Similar attitude to the thug life mentality and Style with the ability to connect to the hood and bring about sensitive contious songs! (Reference to Blood gang/Tattoos/ and Style)

Rakim- "refer to the top of the Blog"

Jay-Z- Swagger ( When Jay Changed styles others did as well)

Kanye West- Ingenuity and Creativity

So now with all of this being said it is time to be honest, I was not a Wayne fan when he first came in it took me a long time to start respecting his craft, but it is undeniable! even if u hate Wayne there is atleast 1 song that you do like! he is the Rapper of now!

The Greatest of there time
80's Rakim-KRS-1

Early 90's Biggie-Tupac

Late 90's-early 00's Jay-z-Nas

Now 04'-now Kanye-Lil Wayne!!!

Gaining Ones Definition(GOD)

The Word Religion is defined by dictionary.com as a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

This word is MAN MADE

As a child in my household my Mother was not big on Religion she said she grew up Catholic,
and did not like how as a child she was forced every Sunday to attend church and sometimes my grandparents would not even go.Futhermore she could not understand how "EVERYTHING" was a sin i.e. Birth control. By the time I was born My mother just felt that she did not have to go to church to have a relationship with GOD.

When I moved down to N.C. Religion became HUGE, if u were not a Christian you were a heathen and going to hell fast. So when I was younger I felt Christianity to be the pick for me it made sense to me and I still think that Jesus Died for our Sins.

But through the years these were some things that did not make sense

  • Why were Christians the ones who enslaved my people and forced their religion upon us?
  • Why Would God take us through slavery?
  • Why Did a group of politicians feel it important to change Catholicism?
  • Why would God let the Holocaust happen and how could Christians go along with it and just be so anti-semitic?
  • why do these religions share some of the same books?
  • so you are telling me Gandhi is going to hell?
  • The Bible was man written
  • some things from the Bible were taken out!
  • How could anyone say that Jesus was not black?
  • How could Phyliss Wheatley say "Twas Mercy that took me from my pagean land"

These are just a few of the questions that racked my brain, but I was not old or rebellious enough to challenge my own faith in the search of truth.

To me this poem sizes up how I feel about religion!

Yahweh
God
Jehovah
Jah
Rastafarian
Allah
Ma'ad
Humdi
Lila

I respect everybody's religion and to be honest our God's might all be the same!
Who am I to Be like America has been and say that your God is not Right?
America has people thinking in this "great melting pot that being a Muslim is Anti-American"
I am in search of truth with no specific Religion!
My faith realies in the idea that the Truth of God is in our heart and I will continue to search for truth.

Return of the King

So I was watching my favorite comedic cartoon last night it was a re-run entitled Return Of The King! In short the episode went back in history and explored what if Martin Luther King Jr. was still Alive, what if he did not get killed by the shot on the Balcony?

While sitting back and watching the episode it explored something that was very real to me. If Martin Luther King Jr. was alive today I think they would sort have exhaled him or just like in the episode the youth would feel as if he is out of touch with today's society! I feel they would treat him just as they treat Bill Cosby. They say that Bill is out of touch with his community and he has lost a lot of his ability to speak to the youth and be understood! If King was here today they would treat him like and old senile man! Not the legend that we have placed him as today, I think they would taint his legacy and the worst part about it is it would be our own people.

I was speaking to My Mom about the issue after we watched the episode and she agreed, she said even right before he died some people were feeling as if he was losing touch. They did not feel that his opinions and his thoughts could live and be respected with Brother Malcolm's and the starting up of the Black Panther's Party for self defense.

We Will never know how the response to King would be in 2008
But I think the Boondocks was very right when they showed him just spaze out and tell everyone what was truly on his mind about how his people, how his dream is not leaving up to his expectations. But I don't think HIS people would be able to take the honest truths about themselves I think they would Just say that King "Just needs to retire and be quite cause he does not know what he is talking about"
And that Saddens me that people do not want to hear/face the truth!

This is ME!

This is my blog Im startin it now!

I have a lot of thoughts that I often just think to myself, discuss with friends, or that rack my brain and need to come out!!!

I love my thoughts they need to be heard! About issues in America, In my own house/mind, or in the world!

So this starts now!!!

A Black, College, Males perspective, an Intellect that loves having a good time and stays knowledgeable about today's issues
