The Selfish Youth

To exam self u must first see flaw...
I know I'm not perfect..i never proclaim to be...
I feel that one of my biggest strengths is that i look back and examine the game film on ME..
Everyday i am the stronger ME...

When u hit the age of 18.. it is a pivotal mark in your life.. nothing truly changes you just know that or have heard that 18 is the age when you are legally considered an adult..POWER..Simply put in one word POWER..but the part of this that our youthful mind often does not pickup on is the great responsibility.. That's why it seems ppl make their biggest mistakes in there late Teens-early 20's (I have made some huge mistakes but thank God that in some situations i thought first.. how would i affect my Mom if i got caught).. factually our life experience is light.. We have selfish mindsets...We see ourselves and the picture inside of it.. but the true adult thinks about the whole picture and makes decisions accordingly.. There is a lot of instances were i myself have thought about my time and how little of it i have to allot to things that may not be important to me. BUT in the big picture the reality comes in that I have a responsibility to the multiple ppl in my life that have taken out time and allotted themselves for me in the past..
HOW can we be so selfish..
its because somewhere along the line ppl have told you..you have no real obligations or responsibilities if u have no kids..This is not true.. Cause if u knew the strength of yourself and your ancestry you know that you have the obligation to be great..to be better than your past..to walk in the same shoes of those who have been down this road before and made some since out of this thing we call life..
ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!
This life is way bigger than you...quite frankly if you were in it alone it would be a very sad and depressing one. More often do we have to look inside ourselves to find the strength to look outside ourselves..You make your family happy when you are doing the right thing..when you are fulfilling obligations..Compromise is a hard concept but it haunts us until we understand how to use it.. perceive yourself from the perceptions of those who love you..never allow anyone to hinder your dream.. but never become so engulfed in self that you cant do for the whole ..even if its something as small as listening to your parents tell you about yourself. WE have an obligation to family..to Friends and all loved ones to be unselfish and think about someone besides ourselves all the time..

I will do my best impression of Skip Bayless and let people know why The Lakers will not win...
First Let me State that I am not hating. I Agreed w/ many people when they said The Lakers would come this far...BUT now its over.. the 140 characters on Twitter did not do me justice so here it goes whether you agree or you are a Lakers fan that cannot see the truth........

The 2008 Starting Line-up For the Lakers were as followed
PG Derek Fisher
SG Kobe Bryant
SF Lamar Odom 
PF Vladimir Radmanovic
C Pau Gasol 


The 2010 L.A. Lakers Are indeed a more talented team only based off of names though and prior history


PG Derek Fisher- Is old, probably in his final season, throughout the playoffs he has been getting exposed by better PG's starting w/ 
   Russell Westbrook-exposed that He could not guard a quick and talented young guard..he ended up having to switch with Kobe because his skills have demonised on Defence
Even his outstanding Captain-sava- 3point shot has gone down percentage wish.. this season in the playoffs
SG Kobe Bryant- Still the most dangerous player in the NBA had an outstanding season in 2008 and was an even better player than he is now..he was younger in NBA yrs.. But if he could not win it then..now with his supporting cast not as good...i think there is way less of a chance then in 2008
SF Ron Artest- Great Defender W/ horrible shot percentage all throughout the playoffs as well as poor shot selection...His contribution will not be significant enough for a winning effort
PF Pau Gasol- Will Be defended Tighter and more Physical than in the whole rest of the playoffs.. Who can match up better With Pau than Kevin Garnett..Same Height and both Athletic....The Advantage goes to KG because on the Defense of End Pau is not as good of a defender nor will he be able to guard KG's mid-range jumper...
C Andrew Bynum- Washed up before he even took off ..Andrew Bynum is the most overrated Center in the league.. he has had the potential since he has been in the league to be one of the best but has been injury prone and highly inconsistent...Paired with the Fact that he will be matched up with Kendrick Perkins physical play.. he will be rendered ineffective in this series


The Lakers Bench has not been as strong as they were in 2008 either Lamar Odom Shall be the most effective bench player 


The Celtics have had a rough season but were always looked at as one of the elite teams in the NBA


Rajon Rondo- Has been Paying like and MVP and will be named MVP of the playoffs when they end...in 2008 Rondo was a good PG who was ROOKIE..now he is a Elite PG who is 2 yrs stronger


The Celtics Bench is even better than in 2008
Nate Robinson- is a starting PG and known scorer 
Rasheed Wallace- Strong Forward who has playoff exp and is going to make a good contribution in the Finals
Glen Davis- is also Destine to be a starter someday and has been playing strong mins
Tony Allen- Has been the true definition of a role player and played quality mins 


With All This being Said the Big 3 have less of a job than they had to do in 2008... They don't have to carry a huge load this time around and the Celtics will be Celebrating another National Championship this yr Probably in 5 games

Women talk to there friends about there problems!

Women go Through it and get over w/ the help of someone

Men keep it bottled inside

for fear of lack of understanding and ridicule men don't speak to friends about issues

for fear of judgment and pride issues men don't cry..Men don't show emotion..and don't show weakness

But we all have those same emotions and feelings inside of us..if u don't release them were do they go?

Too often do i feel that in our society Men don't speak to Men about how to get up!

I think your Women should be your safty net when it alll becomes too much

Discuss issues w/ someone..they can help you on your journey..give you understanding and insight you never thought you would find.

We are to old to seek a crutch but not to old to seek wisdom and knowledge of the great ppl we meet on this long journy called life

its called using your resources wisely!

You can learn so much from your Father,Uncles,Mentors (etc.)

but open and honest conversations must take place..

Im Back: Wake Up!

I needed someone to talk to on an intellectual level

Have u ever been in College, looked at ur Life and thought...my Dreams look like a distant reality right now! I have falling into the box of complacent student with the fear of the unknown (Real World) but i feel that either u run full speed at it or u graduate into it and it consumes u! Guess when u have that feeling its time to wake up!!!

I have come to the point in my college career where the finish line is near but its a light at the end of the tunnel that is not visibile to mine eyes...I turned 21 last year and was randomly thinking earlier today when i was 12 I thought i would be wifed up..n chasing my dreams by now...(Forever never seems that long until your grown) the Reailty is im 21..N college and about to let the fear of Faliure strip me of the whole purpose of why God gave a man dreams..Im gonna be 22 on Febuary 27.. I just think what have i accomplished? Have i just been gettin over? Its dudes that are 21 that are making Millions, Shaking up the world (RIP Fred Hampton) n more importantly following there heart n their dreams. So when u think about those things 21-22 is my prime...it seems to be that just now more individuals are taking longer to get out there dreams...back in the day ppl by this age were at a different stage from where im at..of course this changes with time..ppl live longer..people also don't hafta struggle as hard as the last generation did because they made it a little bit easier...But the question i have to me and everybody who is reading this is..what path are u on...are u stuck? Does ur future seem unclear...If so u are not following your heart..if u were.. ur heart would be that guiding light... that makes u feel that warmth that it will never lead u astray..It will make sure u never feel lost..ur goals are ubtainable..and that at the end of the day u are doin what u love!

Somethings are gonna have to change if you are gonna be able to divorce your mindset...
1. you can not do things with the intetions of seeking others approval
2. you have to be willing to work harder,longer, and stronger
3. Never fall into anything that will help u lose sight of goals
4. Don't overload ur soul
5. Take off..spread ur wings and FLY

With all this being said some changes are going to be made in the near future for me...I will keep u posted all the way...but this is just me letting u know modiocraty was never in my destiny i was designed for something bigger (On my K.West) don't Forget i told ya!

Presidential candidate Barack Obama has stated time and time again that he is a Christian and not of the Muslim faith. But it is almost as if he has to denounce the Muslim faith for the country to accept him! I am disappointed that a man of his hierarchy has not said something about the whole issue. though he is not why wouldn't Barack Obama be allowed to be a Muslim in the "Great Melting Pot of America"?

why would it be so Anti-American for a man of the Muslim faith to be the president of this country some day?


Why is it that we can have people of the Muslim faith defending our "Great Country" but not representing it?
it makes me sad that NO one of any type of status, whom always are the prominent speakers on all the other Issues of rights (Ellen Degeneres, Cornell West,Bono,even rappers) have nothing to say about it.

Sometimes I truly Wonder if the Man I want to lead my Country is going to be too scared to do his Job and stand up for his beliefs,principles, and Civil rights at the same time! Some times I just wonder if what those hecklers were saying is gonna end up being true? Will the Disenfranchised Youth in our Urban Cities be once again pushed into the "invisible man" category!

If a person should travel to there local gas station one will find that there is magazines and in these magazines it often times seems like there main focus is on many art forms of the current day, with music or movies most of the time being number one on the list. Something as mainstream as Hip-Hop, that is such a huge part of the today’s media, fails to get the recognition as an art form that it deserves. The influence is so great that from the Clothing lines all the way down to cellular devices you can see some of Hip-hops most treasured Icons. This would lead one to think that there would be some type of museum put in place for a modern day Beethoven or Mozart. The art form of Rock & Roll has its own huge hall of fame located in Cleveland, Ohio. This museum is a beautiful piece of artwork in itself because of the way it was constructed. It has incorporated art forms such as Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop into its museum. At which most times these arts were specifically going against the mainstream Rock & Roll. It has been a huge question to many people how artist of a genre that is (huge in itself and has huge influences) could ever want to be a small entity in a music form that it is not, and has never tried to be.
I believe that each art form deserves its own respective museum. You would not go to a photo gallery to listen to music so I don’t think you should see Hip-Hop in a Rock & Roll Museum. And that goes for its forefathers of Jazz and R&B as well
