To Understand me you must undestand this...
Long before we know ourselves,
Our paths are already set in stone.
Some may never figure out their purpose in life,
And some will.
There are a lot of us who are caught up in this hell we all live in,
Content with being blinded by rules and judgment.
We live in a world where it's more okay to follow than to lead.
In this world being a leader is trouble for the system we are all accustomed to.
Being a leader in this day and age is being a threat.
Not many people stood up against the system we all call life,
But toward the end of our first ten years into the millennium we heard a voice.
A voice who was speaking to us from the underground for some time.
A voice who spoke of vulnerabilities and other human emotions and issues never before heard so vividly and honest.
This is the story of a young man who not only believed in himself,
But his dreams too.
This is the story of The Man On The Moon
-COMMON (on Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon LP)
Christian, Muslim, Protestant, Lutheran,
I told her that being a mortal is a portal to the true nature of growth; the Christ like Buddha man
That's why I never spit the traditional garbage of a night fight, bright lights, white ice to the fans The radio is just a stereo, like a house and a home, a chair is just a chair, ask Luther Van
Go to work; go to church let your dreams die
Bow tie, final call, and a bean pie
Yarmulke for Hanukah, wish list for Christmas
This is the jist of the life that we lead, why?
So you can fit in, with the close minded in the sit-ins, and clotheslined ed-end
I could care less about a plaque and Benz
And get Punked on TV by my friends
Don't get a nigga wrong, I get tempted by the rewards that all come along with making nigga songs But what does it mean if I'm a Muslim and you a Jew and because of that alone we don't get along And when you talk like this, and try to walk like this the radio stations'll never put a nigga on Just Mims, just 50, just Wayne, just Jeezy, and Franchize Boyz, and Jimmy Jones
Fuck that, fuck rap this God-hop,
King-dom mu-sic for the hard rocks
I'm a spit it till TRL get it and Hot97 hear the nigga with a bomb drop
Ask Flex, ask Slay, ask Who Kidd
Just blaze said Jay is the new kid
I took Eternal Sunshine and I looped it
No drums no hook just new shit
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - JAY ELECTRONICA
if its too deep for your understanding you could never grasp the concepts that play out in my mind... Therefore you could never begin to understand how i think at this stage in my life..

men of a certain age...
Coming to the end of my college career is amazing!
I see many of my peers and I caught in a crazy transition...
When i entered college i remember hearing one of my female friends say "if i'm going to be in a relationship in college, i must be thinking about the LONG-TERM validity of the individual i'm with"...
Through conversations with my black male counter parts i see the Black Man's plight...
we have been raised in this society to be protectors, gatherers, and head of households
The men i have encountered at this stage are not able to successfully fulfill these constructs yet..
Relationships are hard... now.. and they will only get harder!
my male counterparts don't have the degrees they want yet..
The career they want to obtain yet..
The dream they're chasing turned into a reality yet..
if a Man's life is not in order..
(be it a college educated individual..or a life experienced individual)
Then that person should not realistically think about bringing a young lady along for his ride..
Stability...
a Successful college educated individual
or a Successful experienced individual..
has a foundation of stability..
w/o the stability and the ability of a Man to be able to manage ones self issues ..
Men are not ready to be anything but a a vessel for growth..

mature men
it seems need to be focused...
damn near selfishly focused to accomplish HIS goals..
Discipline is so important..
I have to be able to lead
Man and woman are the spiritual forces..
But it seems that men have to mature and be giving space to grow into the roll of gatherer, protector, leader, Father, and Husband..
The black man does not do a good enough job of expressing the plight...
We just want to grow into the roll..not be forced in..

a Man can't pretend he is ready...
A mature man admits he is not ready and walks actively in the path of growth and learning..
so that he can pass his wisdom and pray the next generation takes heed and learns and grows faster than he did..
I can't need to rely on anyone.. I have to know without a Shadow of a doubt that I will forever be the HNIC (for you and me) before i am the ..The MAN I want to be!

The Beautiful Mind
For a person to claim themselves to be a Genius
a Master
a Lover
an Artist...
They must fall in love with the subject...
then they must get lost in the subject...
allow it to consume more than the majority of their brain space..
The period of frustration comes after the honeymoon stage of it being new and something that completes ya wildest imagination..
if you continue to proceed through all the obstacles you become..
the lover
the genius
the artist....
and the Master
If a Man's love is life, i think that he loves many things with all his heart..
If a Woman's life is love, i think she searches for one thing to give her heart.........
Name an Artist,Genius,Master, Lover that people don't believe is/was crazy?
Ceelo said "my Heroes have the heart to live their life out on a limb... all i remember.. is thinking..I wanna be like them"

My Favorite Quote...
Im big on Quotes.. Always have been.
one of my favorite Quotes is a shorthend version of a full Quote...
I Live by it..
Though some may think the quote is a little bit harsh i think it equites itself to the reality of the life we live in..
"By Any Means Nessacary"
I have Visions..
I can only understand them to be heaven sent...If i dont run towards them then I would be wasting what beauty the most high has blessed me to see...

2010 an EPIC exploration Into my favorite art..
I swear ever since Nas put the call out that "Hip-Hop" was dead the music has expanded in a manner which i never thought it would..
When i first heard that joint i was a little undecided on how i felt about it..but i definitely agreed that their was not enough GOOD music coming out of hip-hop and that Hip-Hop would never Die!..It felt like every week their was a new variation of laughy taffy".. the music I think has come to a crazy futuristic renaissance though HA..
I can say that cause its Hip-Hop..
just look at 2010 for an example.. CLASSICKS...
Kanye West- Storytellers << 808's in heartbreaks was Raw emotion..came from out of strong emotion how could it not be ILL live
Lil Wayne- Rebirth<< no one is bold enough to go wit me on this fight.. i can't blame them.. but i eff's wit Wayne and truly believe he is a musical genius whose lyrical content is their!
Ludacris- Battle of the Sexes << I felt the theme i like where he took it..If u gotta system it worked super well for the pre-game ride..
Meth,Ghost, & Rae- Wu-Massacre<< I felt like even the album cover(s) were epic collectable for a Hip-Hop head who rocks wit the WU..
Murs and 9th Wonder- Fornever<< I have never disliked them together i just think they work
Wiz- Kush and Orange Juice << i could appretiate the sound; Everybody else liked it..Im just not really sold on Wiz lyrical content out of the context of MJ
Devin the Dude- Suite 420<< Devins style makes it hard not to rock wit him
Nas & Damien Marley- Distant Relatives << I dont think ppl really see how big this was.. the message was powerful which u can only expect..
Reflection Eternal- Revolutions per minute << I thought it was crazy they did another joint together...i was hype
Travis Mccoy- Lavarus << he is a poet..I roxx wit Gym Class heroes
Drake- Thank Me Later<< Epic.. u couldnt avoid it during the summer..it was all around u

Bun B- Trill O.G. << I like it.. but 5 stars? I think this is a make-up 5 stars from the source cause Bun is a legend in the game and deserves the respect...
Kid Cudi- Man on the Moon II << I was kinda hoping Cudi made a less dark album this go around cause ppl refer to him as the emo rapper..but his stuff is highly relatable and originally emotional.. and Only child like myself can rock wit it because im a loner at times
Lloyd Banks- H.F.M.2<< enjoyed the sound and his voice is unique making it always intresting when he drops..
T.I.- No Mercy<< i didn't like as much as i usually like TIPs joints but it goes
David Banner & 9th Wonder- Death of a Pop Star<< The Message

(2) Kanye West- Dark and Twisted Fantasy<< Kanye never ceeses to amaze me where he takes his art..felt like a long hiatus when Kanye wasnt talking his ish.. But creating a Movie that displays his creativity and captivates your attion is engenius to me.. It was Super Dope and he incorperated brother Gil Scott-Heron
(1)The Roots- How I got Over<< The Album of the Year (if it does not win the grammy I will be disapointed as usual by something that will never really I believe come through for the art form)..The Roots have made so many insightful peices of art for the world to endulge in and even though it is extremely hard to choose the best one from their catoloug this is by far the best eclectic mix of soulful sound with a lyricist I have heard in a minute..it was POWERFUL.. best album of the year
(1 Mixtape) Big K.R.I.T- Wuz Here << and individual who does not apologize for being country he is fully accepting of the gifts and the curses of the life that he puts on wax.. man its hearfelt and makes my trunk thump.. the content is much needed
Wale and J.Cole always make crazy good mixtapes that put me in a good spot when they are realesed but a joint that i dont think many people even know exisisted that shook up my time being was Ceelo- Stray bullits.. mixtape hit my soul..Lo is good for that..
